Mother's day, Krystell's 38th birthday, and other fun occasions

April 27th Joe and I went on a date to go see the Avengers: Endgame movie. Yes we are nerds, but we have fun together. We have been anticipating this movie since we saw Infinity War in August. We have watched a few of the Marvel movies, but not all of them. Once we saw the Infinity War we were hooked! And now we are fanatics....and proud of it ;0)

These were cute chicks that our ministering brother and wife gave us for a late Easter treat. It sits on a egg full of treats. the kids were so excited.

Because sometimes it's fun to have a funny face!

My mother's day gifts from the kiddos from preschool. JoJo's letter to me:

Addie's letter to me:

Heart Magnets they made from their fingerprints. Jojo's are the 3 green, and Addie made the bottom colorful ones.

And Joe's gift to me was this hydrangea, probably one of my most favorite flowers of all time. I was so excited.

My baby girl exhausted and enjoying a nap. Note the blue guitar in the background. It was mine growing up, my smurf guitar. The kids love it.

My master bakers! They love helping add ingredients to batter/dough. And they help me roll out the cookies...and  our favorite part is eating the dough/batter. YUMMY!!

For my birthday, the kids helped me plant some seeds. And so I took some pictures of our garden. When we first moved here there were the plots, but no plants. And so we have worked hard to make it beautiful. Believe it or not the rose bushes in the back are not dead, though I worried they were! Our friends gave them to us and we transplanted. I guess it just took them a while to decide if they wanted to be there or not. The peonies in the center are starts from my Grandma Neibaur's garden. I was so excited to get them. My garden treasures...

The irises are starts from my mom, who got some of them from Grandma Neibaur as well. I believe the rust/red ones were from there.

And my gift was getting a season pass to the Zoo. I love going there and seeing the animals. And seeing the kids excitement. Such a fun activity.  And my gift to the kids were these Shirts/PJ's. Addie love Captain Marvel and Joe loves green...so he fell in love with this shirt of Yoda. Now we will have to introduce him to Star Wars.

Afterwards the kids helped me make my cake. I had plans to decorate it with frosting tips, but my bag split open...and I just didn't have the energy to try it again. So chocolate chips into hearts it is!
