Sometimes my phone starts to slow down...so I have to transfer my pictures over to laptop. And then I come across these treasures that I can't help but keep.
We have been really spoiling ourselves with family movies since last August when the kids have enjoyed the Avengers with us. Before they would fuss halfway through an animated movie, so this was a new thing for us. Joe and I LOVE going to movies, so we only happily splurged for this. Going to see Spider-Man in to the Spider Verse.
Our cat, Parker, does occasionally become sweet and snuggle. I often catch him snuggle up against one of the kids when they are sleeping. It's usually when they are sick or scared. It's actually quite sweet. Jan 6th
Playing Twister, one of our Christmas presents from Kevin's family. They could play this forever...
January 17th: This girly has her very own style. She makes me smile.
And she is growing up so fast!! January 25th she lost her first tooth...Mommy pulled it. And the Tooth Fairy came and gave her 5 quarters. So exciting!! Also a cute conversation I had with her: Addie-"We have a heart in our chest? What color is it?" Me-"yes, it is red." Addie-"Mine is a rainbow one"
We unfortunately experienced head lice at our house! It was pretty traumatizing for us all. I don't know why, it's common I guess. But I will admit I panicked! So after we had treated Addie's hair, we buzzed JoJo's hair, Joe's hair, and had mine combed through by professionals along with Addie again. Through the comb throughs, washes, laundry over kill and house cleaning....Joe and I forgot we had a date to see the play "Mamma Mia". Well, we didn't have a babysitter. And Addie does seem to love music and dancing, so I took her! I was told it was safe to do so...and despite me forgetting the "adult" scenarios, we had a fun time. She did pretty good for a 5 yr old. She kept wanting to get up to dance and sing. She was frustrated that I kept telling her she couldn't and she needed to stay seated.
I kept promising the kids they could build a snowman and go sledding. Well, every time it snowed, by the time we were done with something and got a minute at home, the snow had melted. So finally Feb 10th the snow stayed long enough after church that I went out and helped them build their snowman. And then we went to the park down the block and they went sledding.
Valentine's Day!! We love making sugar cookies. The kids often help me mix the dough up, then when the time is right we cut them out together. And when it's time to frost, I give them a plate full of cookies, another plate of various colors of frosting, and a bowl of sprinkles. It's fun to see their excitement and eating the goodies as they "paint" their cookies. Can you guess their favorite colors? ;0)
Their Valentine's gift from Joe and I: Stick horses! JoJo had pointed these out back during Christmas time. So they were a big hit!
I came home from work a Tuesdsay evening to this site. So cute!! Joe works nights and watches the kids sleep deprived. sometimes he can get them to take a nap with them later in the day. This is them in our room....Addie asleep on the recliner, and Joe and JoJo on our bed. Don't forget Parker! He is not missing out.
A sweet note left to me from Addie. Full of rainbows and smiley faces. Makes my heart melt. Feb 17th
JoJo sporting the stylish church suit Grandma Linda Hebdon made for Uncle Kevin when he was little...I just got this in a bag of clothes for him. So sad we didn't get this earlier when it would fit him. He's pretty cute!
