For as long as I can remember, I've wanted professional pictures on the beach. And so this year we spoiled ourselves and did it. It was so much fun!! Expensive, but fun. And I think with the quality of pictures, worth it. They will probably be my favorite for quite a while.
So we planned Labor Day weekend to be at the Oregon Coast. We drove to Portland and stayed there for our hotel. Seriously....one of my favorite places.
After pictures we went to Canon Beach and enjoyed the rest of the day splashing around. Everyone could spend forever on the beach.....we were so happy!!
Joseph always loves to play in the sand, build castles, and feel the it between his toes. He is definitely my sand baby.
And Addie played more in the sand this time than I've ever seen her. She wanted to be buried and look like a mermaid. She's the cutest mermaid I've ever seen.
Joseph played in the water more than I've ever seen him. Even with it cold, he spent quite awhile in the water.
And Daddy and Addie are our water babies! Cold water, they don't care! They dive right in. And Joe and I have to keep Addie reined in....She is a fish, or I guess a mermaid ;0)
Truly all of our happy place is on the beach.
We stopped at a French Pastry shop....so yummy!! We ended up going their for breakfast for 2 different days it was so yummy and fun.
Monday we had to head back. But not before we practiced catching and throwing a football at the park. This was one thing Joseph really wanted to do.
We went to Multinomah Falls, and was sad that we couldn't hike to the upper bridge. When we lived there, we had little kids in strollers and we weren't in the best of shape. So I really wanted to hike. So I asked one of the rangers if there was a place we could go. SO after Multinomah, we headed to Horsetail Falls.
And so we drove a little ways and found the trail...
And it was awesome! We could walk behind the falls!!
And we could go into the pool! Joe had shoes on, so he didn't want to ruin them. And the sharp rocks made it impossible to take them off.
It's amazing how fast it plunged down!! I was walking and all of a sudden there was a hole.
